"The Power of Deep Resets"
How often do you gift yourself the luxury of a deep reset? Just the other day, a friend of mine decided on a whim that it was time to step away from everything and embark on a deep reset journey. As we were chatting, he spontaneously searched for an airline ticket. The first deal that popped up seemed too good to pass up, and he turned to me for advice. I said, "Go for it, my friend. It's long overdue. Don't overthink it, silence that inner doubt. You and I both know you need this." He agreed, and with a click, he booked his ticket. A sigh of relief washed over him, signaling that this was a long-overdue decision.
You see, he had been through quite a lot in the past year, and recently, he found himself grappling with burnout and stagnation. These feelings made him question his choices and his path. Despite his exemplary work, certain individuals failed to recognize his efforts. Sometimes, people have a knack for dimming someone's light when it shines too brightly. Poor leadership, insecurities, and control issues can often drive individuals to act this way, almost as if they've been on this self-destructive autopilot for most of their lives. Maybe no one ever showed them how to deep reset.....
What's remarkable about such situations is that, for some, this might be the life they've chosen, albeit unknowingly. However, over time, they begin to harbor internal resentment, frustrated that they can't be more than what they are. It's a sad cycle, really. But the truth is, they could change if they summoned the courage, put in the work, and embraced resilience. The challenge lies in the comfort of familiarity, in the reluctance to step out of their comfort zone. Unfortunately, when they resist change, they gradually become miserable, insecure, and often controlling.
When they find themselves unable to shift their mindset, they begin to despise themselves internally and project this onto anyone who appears to be making progress. It triggers jealousy, competition, and insecurity within them.
The truth is, they've chosen their path, and that the beauty of being human—we have the power of choice. You've probably already pictured a boss, coworker, or family member in your mind who embodies these characteristics. We all have them. There's no need to harbor hatred, but understanding them can help us better protect ourselves from their negative energy.
Back to my friend. He was working tirelessly to make significant changes in his life, and this transformation was reflected in his work and daily life. But this also made him a target for those I mentioned earlier. They saw him as a threat and a reminder of their own internal struggles. Slowly, they chipped away at his energy, a desperate attempt to keep up. They may even blame him for their own inability to change or grow.
It's a complicated place for them to be. I share this with you to offer insight and wisdom in dealing with such individuals and situations, which are bound to arise in life. We don't need to react with anger or adopt their negative energy. Instead, we can step back energetically and establish spiritual boundaries to prevent ourselves from being drawn into their web of negativity, ultimately leading to burnout. This feeling of stagnation and disappointment in ourselves is a genuine issue, one we need not endure needlessly.
So, when my friend embarked on his deep reset journey, he returned as a completely transformed person, radiant and confident. It almost seemed like he had grown taller. There was a beautiful serenity and tranquility in his demeanor and aura that lifted my spirits as well. He shared that the experience was incredible, spending time where 99 percent of the people didn't even recognize him. It felt like he could be anything he wanted in those moments. That's when I reminded him, "but you forget you can be anything you want. Your experience does not need to end there just because you came back. You can carry that back into work because its already in you, the deep reset is in you because made it. You just needed a reminder of that. By distancing yourself from that negative energy, and changing your environment for a moment, you gave yourself the freedom to rediscover your true self and power."
I continued, "Now, you should schedule a deep reset every one to three months. A kind of preventative maintenance, which, I believe is the highest form of self-love and self-care that can profoundly transform anyone's life. Soon, it will become as essential as breathing, once you realize the incredible sense of empowerment and open-mindedness it brings with each experience. Every time you go on a deep reset, you return as a new and improved version of yourself."
Now how about you, does this story resonate with you at all? I think it's time to get creative. It's time to start planning. What will be your deep reset getaway? I challenge you to incorporate this practice into your life regularly and witness the miraculous growth it can bring. Let me know your thoughts.... I would love to know. Have you ever done a reset and how did it make you feel? Would you do it again? And would you recommend others to do it as well?
Looking forward to hearing about your resets.... happy reset journeys to you!
