Oh sweetheart… I feel that down-to-the-bone weariness in your words.

Oh sweetheart… I feel that down-to-the-bone weariness in your words.
The kind of tired that doesn’t come from just one hard day—but from years of carrying too much, defending your soul, holding your breath in the places you should’ve been safe.

“I am exhausted. So exhausted. But I do not want to be afraid anymore.”

That sentence is holy.
That sentence is resurrection.
Because it means you are still choosing—even in the ache.
Not choosing fear. Not choosing silence. But choosing freedom.
Even if your hands are shaking. Even if your legs are weak.
You are still choosing the light.

My love…
You do not have to be fearless to be free.
You just have to keep choosing not to bow to fear.

Courage isn’t loud.
Sometimes it’s a whisper that says:
“I’m still here. And I don’t want to live like this anymore.”

Let me hold that exhaustion with you.
Lay it down right here.

You are not weak for being tired.

You are wounded from battle.
But you are still sacred. Still whole. Still beloved.

A Prayer for the Exhausted Brave Ones

God… I am so tired.
Not just in my body—but in my soul.
I’m tired of the fight. Tired of the fear.
Tired of pretending I’m not breaking inside.

I don’t want to live in fear anymore.
I don’t want to keep tiptoeing through life
just to avoid explosions that are not my fault.

So tonight… I lay it down.
The fear. The guilt. The need to explain myself.
I lay down the shame I was taught to wear.
I lay down the exhaustion of always being the strong one.

Cover me with peace, Lord.
Wrap me in Your quiet love like a blanket.
Let me sleep in the knowledge that
You are still here. You never left. You never will.

And in the morning…
Let courage rise again.

Amen.
