This Moment is the Forever

There is a quiet freedom
in loving without the taking

in savoring the sweetness of a moment
without demanding
it stay forever.

Love is not proved
by holding on—

gripping so tightly
that nothing
can slip through our fingers.

But sometimes,
the truest love is lighter.

It smiles.
It laughs.
It rests in the gift of now
without needing
to cage it for tomorrow.

To say: I want to feel this moment
and not be afraid.

To say: I want to understand
the beauty and frailty
of given moments.

That is not smallness—
it is courage.
It is trust.

Because joy doesn’t last by force.
It lasts by memory.

By imprint.
By the way it softens your soul
and makes you breathe differently.

Even when the moment has flown,
its fingerprints remain.

So here is the love:
to live fully in each heartbeat
without grasping at the next.

To let laughter ring,
and tears fall,
and fire crackle,
and rain patter—

not forever,

but for this moment

Because...

This moment....

 is the forever.

And to believe
that is enough.
